philosophy
philosophy was the original science, the one that started it all. philosophy roughly translates to "love of wisdom" and started the pursuit of asking questions about life, love, music, art, and the rest of the world. it started an investigation through reason, experience, and a little faith of the world and its inhabitants. it formed the foundation for scientific thought, taking an object, testing things on the object first as thought experiments, then as real experiments, and developed the foundation for all of the mathematical sciences today. it continues to do so, and this site continues to do so as well. i start this section inviting anyone to send in bits of wisdom to have published on here, anonymously or with citation, as you wish.
