he was one of those who restarted the théâtre louis richard for rod-puppets after nearly fifty years of silence in 1982. since then he has been performing plays for those rod-marionnettes regularly on traditional subjects (tyll eulenspiegel), science fiction (pur amour inoxydable), various tales and stories (treasure island, pomegranate my daughter), etc. he is also using big marionnettes from africa and personal creations crossing various traditions. he presently is the artistic director of the théâtre louis richard in roubaix, france, of course not south dakota. he travels a lot and has visited many countries with his flock (england, belgium, québec...)
