Do you ever find yourself wondering what others are thinking about? As if their blank stares and exxpressionless faces really are contemplating unprocessed ideas, all the while reinventing lost thoughts. I find myself wondering about this a great deal. Do you ever try and figure out what each individual is thinking about? Late bills, an unhappy marriage, an exciting promotion, a quick fix, their kid's dance recital...or perhaps none of the above. The blank stares do not seem to give any indication as to what specific situation one should give their thoughts credit to. I try and piece together plot-lines based upon nonverbal gestures and nonchalant glances. Negative. I wish I could somehow know, but then again that means I would be trespassing into dimensions of our existence that we were never meant to cross... |
